Urinary Tract Infections
UTIs are infections found in the lower urinary tract, typically involving the bladder and urethra. While there are often no noticeable symptoms involved with a urinary tract infection, when symptoms do present they can include a burning sensation while urinating, a strong urge to urinate, cloudy urine, urine accompanied by a strong odor, discomfort, and more. At QUC, we test for UTIs with a simple urine sample analysis. Treatment typically includes antibiotics, and occasionally analgesics will be prescribed to relieve discomfort.
To make sure that a child has the necessary physical and health requirements for school and sports, we provide regular physicals. These physicals are required by most schools for participation in sports, as well as some other physical activities. Quality Urgent Care school physicals include a review of the patient’s medical history, a physical examination, the completion of necessary forms, and any other requirements from the patient’s school. Be sure to bring any required forms and permissions with you in order to ensure a prompt and seamless physical for your child.
Earaches often accompany cold, flu, or allergy, and are typically the result of a bacterium or virus in the middle ear. It’s important to receive a checkup on any ear problems, as they can lead to infections and other more serious issues. Symptoms to watch out for are ear discomfort, irritability, loss of balance, difficulty hearing, headache, and fluid drainage from the ear. Quality Urgent Care treatment for ear problems may include the application of warm compresses to the ear in conjunction with over-the-counter decongestants, ear drops, and pain relievers.
Common sports-related injuries include dislocations, sprains, strains, and fractures. Quality Urgent Care evaluates injuries from sports, determining the type of injury and any necessary treatment that may be required. If necessary, X-rays are given as a means of diagnosis, and in order to determine the severity of the injury. Treatment for sports injuries may include one or all of the following: rest, elevation, ice, compression, cast, or brace. It is imperative that patients do not return to their sport until they are properly evaluated and deemed healed and ready by a qualified QUC physician.

Sprains and Simple Fractures
A sprain is typically the result of stretching or tearing the tissue connecting the bones and supporting the joints, which is known as the ligament. When a joint is overstretched, a person falls, or they experience some sort of heavy hit or jolt, a sprain can occur. Symptoms include swelling, bruising, soreness, difficulty moving, and muscle spasms, most often in the wrists, ankles, or knees.
More serious than a sprain, a simple fracture usually is caused by a sports injury, trauma, or accident, causing strong discomfort, difficulty moving, a noticeable deformity in the injured area, numbness, and more. Quality Urgent Care provides X-rays to determine if an injury is a simple fracture or a sprain. Treatment for sprains and simple fractures may include icing, compression, elevation, and casts or braces for fractures.
