Urinary Tract Infections

UTIs are infections found in the lower urinary tract, typically involving the bladder and urethra. While there are often no noticeable symptoms involved with a urinary tract infection, when symptoms do present they can include a burning sensation while urinating, a strong urge to urinate, cloudy urine, urine accompanied by a strong odor, discomfort, and more. At QUC, we test for UTIs with a simple urine sample analysis. Treatment typically includes antibiotics, and occasionally analgesics will be prescribed to relieve discomfort.

Sprains and Simple Fractures

A sprain is typically the result of stretching or tearing the tissue connecting the bones and supporting the joints, which is known as the ligament. When a joint is overstretched, a person falls, or they experience some sort of heavy hit or jolt, a sprain can occur. Symptoms include swelling, bruising, soreness, difficulty moving, and muscle spasms, most often in the wrists, ankles, or knees.
More serious than a sprain, a simple fracture usually is caused by a sports injury, trauma, or accident, causing strong discomfort, difficulty moving, a noticeable deformity in the injured area, numbness, and more. Quality Urgent Care provides X-rays to determine if an injury is a simple fracture or a sprain. Treatment for sprains and simple fractures may include icing, compression, elevation, and casts or braces for fractures.
